Hey! I'm Charlie or Charlotte (I don't mind) and I am a fitness trainer teaching pilates, yoga and general fitness throughout the Cotswolds. I don't teach a short term fix, we are in it for the long-haul and as such, I would always steer my clients towards pilates as their fundamental starting point. Invest your body into pilates and it will completely change your core and posture, which will stand you in good stead for everything else you want to throw yourself into.
For as long as I can remember, I have always loved to move and play sport. As a child I enjoyed competing in athletics, cross country, gymnastics, hockey, netball, swimming, you name it. This burning desire to move my body has continued throughout my adult life. These days I enjoy running, playing hockey, tennis, cycling, golf, pilates, yoga and surfing. In fact, surfing is where I find my most meditative state of mind. Every day, I trek up my local hill with my Romanian rescue pup, Chester, and run around the park with him (occasionally I manage to drag the kids with me!). Routine, everyday movement is fundamental to your health and going for a walk each day is probably the best piece of advice we have heard of late.
We all need to invest time to feel healthy and fit. I am incredibly grateful to my body, it's served me well but then, particularly over the past 14 years since becoming a mother, I have really paid attention to my body. I've listened to its needs, conditioned it, nourished it and rested it when required. I spent hours of self study and attended lots of workshops to increase my awareness and knowledge of fitness and nutrition. It all feeds into my teaching and back to benefit my clients of all ages, helping them to improve their lifestyles by enabling better movement. I have a sensible approach to fitness and I'm here to encourage and guide you to adopt a healthy approach too, gaining a better understanding of your individual body and ultimately building a happier, more mobile you.
